Garden harvest and planting day is almost here!
On Friday, August 30 the students at Green Trails will get to spend time in the community garden. They will be harvesting and removing summer crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and the always favorite "digging for treasures" - sweet potatoes! We are one of the few elementary schools in the St. Louis area where our kids can get outside and physically get their hands dirty by planting a seed, watching it grow, and then harvesting and eating it.
